Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. She was raised listening to traditional and old boleros, along with traditional romantic and Ranchero songs. Ana is passionate about the operas and tangos and any dramatic performance. At age 16 she began singing and learning the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican tenor of great renown began to provide her with more intense training in singing. The School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. While a student, and when she was a professional young at the time in Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choruses. In 2000 she moved into in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she settled in her new home in Southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and sings Latin American traditional music solo for many private functions. As an instructor and performer in the local area, her love of arts and music keeps her involved in a range of initiatives. Ana was a former part of the Community Chorus of Redlands (as as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana enjoys singing traditional Latin American songs and hopes to inspire others to do the same.
